TOP STORIES

Thank you for participating in our survey.

We received many excellent ideas for improving the Kabalarian newsletter which we will incorporate during the following months.  Your inspiring comments mean so much to us at the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada administration and head office for the Kabalarian Philosophy.  77% want to learn more about their inner potential, 74% want a clearer understanding of the influence of name, 69% want to learn more about cycles, 62% would like articles on building better relationships and many want more information on how to create a fulfilling life, to list a few responses.

A newsletter subscriber, Dennis B., summed it up very appropriately:  "I think your survey idea was an excellent way to involve your readers/followers/subscribers as well as maintaining a dialogue and open discussion on how to get to that level that we all want; to reach and attain a satisfying and enriched life."

What is the Kabalarian Philosophy?

Kabalarian Writings

At its root, the Kabalarian Philosophy is a mixture of philosophical, religious, and health related principles that act as a guide for its students on issues from the mundane to the philosophical.  The Philosophy is rooted in the principle that there are two basic laws of life--mathematics and language.  The Philosophy teaches the relationship of Universal Reason to life, how the power of Reason becomes involved in all animate forms of life. How human individuality is created through the relationship of mathematics, date of birth, language, name, mind, and consciousness is an important part of Kabalarian teachings.

The order of the universe is mathematical and the Philosophy postulates that our lives can be explained by this mathematical principle.  The Philosophy teaches that there is a mathematical quality to one's date of birth, which evidences one's potential in life (birthpath).  Likewise, there are mathematical qualities of intelligence to the symbols of language and one's name develops certain specific qualities from the language symbols in the name (personality).

If we understand the significance of our birthpath and name,  we can understand our personal qualities--i.e., our strengths and weaknesses, and use this understanding to develop our universal potential.

A given name may either facilitate the development of certain potential qualities, or, alternatively, cause disharmony between the inner potential and the outer personal expression.  Choosing and/or changing to a name mathematically balanced to the birthpath potential assists in reaching higher objectives.

The Kabalarian Philosophy also contains certain western and eastern philosophical concepts.  There is a sense that study and dedication will assist in elevating one towards achieving a union with Universal Reason.  Achieving the highest level means that, at death, the individual mental energy will merge with Universal Consciousness.  This has analogues to eastern philosophies such as Hinduism and Buddhism.

The Philosophy also advances concepts of clean living, charitable works, and of respect for people of all colours, races, and creeds.

Birthpath
© Kabalarian Writings

Everything in life has a reason for being, a purpose.  For example, an acorn, when planted, becomes an oak tree thousands of times bigger than the acorn itself.  What is that abstract power in the acorn seed that causes the plant to grow in such an intelligent, systematic way to an ultimate fruition?  In Kabalarian teachings that power is termed Reason.  Reason is the intelligence that creates the harmony, the pattern, and the picture of balance within the vastness of life itself.  All species beneath humankind follow their purposes instinctively propelled forward by intelligent forces to an ultimate fruition of purpose.  Earth life reflects the constant involving of intelligence or Reason into finite life and its evolution back through growth to fruition.  The finite plane is always in a state of flux, and what is real in the sense of form and dimension today will be different tomorrow.  Thus finite reality is temporal, a state of truth in motion reflecting the principle of involution and evolution contained within the abstract.  The attainment of Consciousness is the closest human mind can come in its evolutionary path to the abstract plane.

The specific date that a child is born denotes the quality of the potential seeded within.  As soon as a newborn takes its first breath of life, intelligence and Reason become a part of the child, causing the systems of the body to function with intelligence and setting in motion a growth pattern for the child.

The birthpath is determined by the day, month, and year of birth, and when measured mathematically reveals the path in life for each person to walk and the lessons to be learned.

Human mind is the growth of the spark of Reason which is involved in the finite body.  The mathematical intelligence of language and of the name linked to the birthpath become the structural form of thought, mind, and personality, creating the individual expression of the evolving quality of Reason.

A name, which creates one's personality, must harmonize or balance to the birthpath in order for the inner potential to express fully and harmoniously.

The May to September 2001 issues of the Internet newsletters #27 through #31 explain how to calculate your birthpath and are followed by an explanation for each of the nine birthpaths.  Scroll to the top of the newsletter.  Click on Back Issues under Newsletter Archive.

Name Analysis

DONALD, HARLOW, JASON, MORGAN, BRADFORD, PATTON, HAMMOND, BRANDON, AMELIA, ROBINA, VIOLA, OLIVIA, SOPHIA

People with these names have an intense desire for something worthwhile in life, a desire for knowledge, and a desire to be free from binding restrictions.  They are independent, capable, and clever, and they work best alone.  They do not like to have to accept advice from others but learn best through their own experiences.  As long as an activity or occupation holds their interest they will keep at it.  If boredom sets in, they become restless and frustrated and seek change.  They need creative outlets for their imaginative, analytical, and scientific qualities. They can develop great powers of concentration and could be brilliant in any subject that holds their interest.  They love to read and to travel to gain knowledge of life and conditions in other areas of the world.  Being impulsive, they sometimes do things without sufficient forethought.  As a result, they tend to be accident-prone.

People of few words, they are direct and candid and often create misunderstandings because of their aloof, somewhat secretive, manner.  They do not like being questioned about their life and activities.  It is difficult for them to be cosmopolitan and easy-going.  Yet, they would give anything to be relaxed and communicative.  Being loners, they are inclined to be suspicious of others.  They do not easily verbalize their deeper thoughts and feelings for fear of ridicule.  Deep down, they are very sensitive and easily hurt and offended.  Over time when others gain their trust, they will express their deeper side.  They enjoy intellectual conversation and dislike superficialities.  They desire peace and understanding but many times their lives reveal chaotic conditions.  It is far easier for these people to express in writing.  Writing is a talent they should develop.  They must guard against jealousy and moods of depression.  They can be too morose and pessimistic and must work on themselves to be optimistic and happy.

They enjoy the outdoors for the harmony and freedom they feel in activities such as mountain climbing, skiing, fishing, or camping.  They are drawn to the beauties of nature, the habits and habitats of animals, the flora and fauna, and they are often concerned about environmental issues. You often find them working for the betterment of life in some way.  Being close to nature, they sense the vastness and wonder about the deeper aspects of life.  They are drawn to the mysteries surrounding life.

These people recognize the mental turmoil that comes with the pressures of responsibility.  They suffer insomnia and/or nervous tension in the stomach and digestive areas of the body when under too much pressure.

A change of name would help to create more buoyancy, greater self-expression, and a happy, peaceful, contented mind.

Questions?

What is spirituality?

Spirituality is an ideal, or a seed that will bear fruit if constructive effort is put forth to understand nature's laws of right eating, right breathing, and right thinking.

Spirituality is the state of wisdom which can be reached only as one's mind is developed to think, analyze, and measure life, to find the key to the creation and balance of human mind.  Wisdom is the knowledge of the universe and being, and it can be understood only through the intellect, plus experience, and not through the sense of feeling and the emotions.

Only as we learn to govern our emotions and to transmute them into mental power, directing that power for service, can we evolve toward the state of wisdom.

Spirituality is an attainment, not an instinctive phenomenon.  It cannot be arrived at through blind faith, only through conscious mental effort in conformity with the mental and spiritual laws.

Spirituality is mental progress beyond material concept, and can be sought and obtained only through the mind.  We will be happy under a balanced name, but not wise unless we seek into the deeper meanings of life.  Wisdom or Consciousness unfolds through the seeds of logic and truth.

Everything follows a cyclic pattern--the ebb and flow of tides, the phases of the moon, the rotation of the earth around the sun, the seasons of time, the migration of various birds and animals, to name just a few.

Each person is born into time and is governed by it from the first breath of life until death.  Within the period of time called life, the changing minutes, hours, days, months, and years bring changing conditions, thoughts, opportunities, successes, and failures.  Although the world at large does not as yet fully realize it, these fluctuating circumstances of life are not as haphazard as they appear to be.  There is a definite, intelligent pattern to life, and a basic, logical, consistent reason for everything. That pattern and reason are embodied within mathematics and the Cyclic Law.

Quote of the Month

It is easy to desire to be good, to progress, to change, but it only happens when we apply and actually do the work necessary for the desired change.  Wishful thinking never made anyone rich, beautiful, or happy.  Only honest accomplishment does that.
